Tremont Greek Festival

I've been going to the Tremont Greek Festival for as long as I can remember. It's the Grandaddy of Northeast Ohio Cultural Festivals and one of the most fun. Food, music and booze. And the church tour is pretty impressive, especially if your friend Cynthia spends the whole time harassing the priest to “Tell Them About That”.

The Greeks have this Brandy called Metaxa that is just wonderful. So much better that Ouzo, which I'm assuming most of you have had. There are about a jillion more Greek Festival in our area during the summer months and I encourage you to go as they are a lot of fun.

Stay away from Mythos though, it's pretty much skunk beer.

The food is the best, and it isn't all that different than what you are use to.  Some eggplant dishes that might seem a little unique, and this creamy rice concoction that is very yummy.  But nothing that makes you got "What The Hell", like some of the other festivals. But no matter the culture. nobody cooks like church ladies. It's why most of the cultural festivals are so damn good.
